Tournament Format
The Hershey Open will feature a double elimination format for most events. Games will be played as best two out of three, with scores to 11, win by 2. In the consolation bracket, games will be played to 15, win by 2.
If there are five teams or fewer in a bracket, the tournament will switch to a round-robin format. Singles brackets will play all games to 15, win by 2. The tournament ball will be provided by the sponsor, and results will automatically be uploaded to the DUPR.
Players must register individually and ensure their spots are secured by completing the registration with payment and signed waivers.
Prize Money and Awards
The Moneyball Open event offers a total payout of $3,000, with $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place. Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each bracket, even if brackets are combined due to insufficient participation.
Additional Information
Players must check in by 7:30 AM for 8:00 AM bracket starts. Players scheduled later than 8:00 AM should check in at least 30 minutes before their match and will be allowed a three-minute warm-up.
A mandatory player meeting will take place before the tournament begins. The tournament’s proceeds will benefit the Leader Center for Active Life, a non-profit organization promoting healthy aging.
