Winners Lights up in Dark Pickleball Tournament: When the lights dimmed and the neon glow took over the Limbaugh Community Center this past weekend, Childersburg’s second annual Glow in the Dark Pickleball Tournament did not disappoint. With 75 players spanning a range of skill levels,The two-day event was an exciting display of athleticism and companionship.

Starting on Saturday, the tournament featured intense matches under the arena’s ambient glow. in between the electric atmosphere, Jennifer Rainwater and Tanner Brasher emerged as the tournament’s grand champions, securing the overall title with a commanding performance. Their victory was a presentation of sharp reactions and precision shots that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.

In a well-fought battle for second place, Bobby Knox and Kelsey Efferson demonstrated that competitive spirit is alive and well in Childersburg. With more than 20 teams battling it out in Saturday’s matches, the level of play was both high and entertaining, featuring strategic volleys and tactical finesse.

 A Day for the Doubles Teams

As the tournament moved into its second day, the excitement continued to build. The spotlight shifted to the women’s doubles and men’s doubles divisions, where new champions were crowned. Karis and Kelsey Efferson claimed the women’s doubles title, their cohesive teamwork and strategic play proving too much for the competition. Leah Platt and Lanie Lewis, though just shy of the top spot, earned their place as the runners-up with a performance that highlighted their skill and determination.

The men’s doubles division saw Lanier Corbitt and Robert Ogle rise to the occasion, securing the championship in a display of athletic skills and strategic play. Finishing in a commendable second place were Gary and Tanner Brasher, whose entertaining approach to the game kept spectators engaged throughout.
