The Robbinsville Pickle House has officially opened, introducing the largest indoor pickleball facility in the Northeast. Featuring 19 indoor courts, a full-service restaurant, and a self-serve tap wall, the 60,000-square-foot facility blends competitive play with a Topgolf-style social atmosphere.
Located on West Manor Way, the Pickle House aims to create a hub for all levels of players, from beginners to local pros. The facility is the brainchild of Christopher Vernon, founder of Mercer Management, a leading hospitality and property development company.
Pickleball for Everyone
Pickleball has grown into one of America’s most popular sports, attracting players of all ages and skill levels. Taylor Hartman, Pickle House general manager, and longtime pickleball enthusiast, highlights the sport’s accessibility.
“Pickleball is an incredible sport for not only the recreational player but the competitive player as well. It’s an easy learning curve, and you can kind of make what you want of it.” – (Hartman)
Pickle House offers programming for all levels, including:
- Beginner Clinics – Introduction to the basics.
- Weekend Socials & Mixers – Play with a variety of partners.
- In-House & Pro Tournaments – Competitive events with top players.
- Golden Ticket Events – Hosted by Universal Tennis Rating (UTR).
State-of-the-Art Amenities
Beyond its courts, the Pickle House offers a full kitchen and tap wall. The menu includes burgers, wraps, salads, and shareable appetizers, while the tap wall features beer, wine, cocktails, Gatorade, and cold-brew coffee.
Other key features include:
- Advanced sports lighting for optimal visibility.
- Temperature-controlled environment with air conditioning and radiant heat.
- Partnership with USA Pickleball to promote events and connect with players.
Hartman emphasizes the club’s social appeal.
“The social aspect really brings a lot of people together, and it’s just so fun meeting tons of new people in the sport that are enjoying the same thing you are.” – (Hartman)
Growing the Pickleball Community
Pickle House is more than just a sports venue—it’s designed as a pickleball destination. The facility offers family memberships and plans to launch a junior program for ages 8-15, featuring clinics and camps focused on youth development. Hartman highlights the club’s welcoming culture.
“We want to have a family feel when you walk through the door. We want to know everybody’s name, we want to laugh and smile with our members and just really bringing the sense of family and culture is the goal of the Pickle House and I would say if we’re not fully there yet we’re very close.” – (Hartman)
Prime Location for Tournaments
The facility’s Robbinsville location is strategically positioned near major highways, including I-95 and the New Jersey Turnpike, making it easily accessible for players from across the Northeast.
Out-of-state competitors can also stay at the adjacent Hampton Inn & Suites, making it a convenient stop for tournament travel. Pickle House will host a St. Patrick’s Day celebration on March 15 from 6-9 p.m.
