Calabasas Hosts Inaugural Pickleball Tournament: The Calabasas Chamber of Commerce will present its first-ever pickleball tournament on Saturday, April 4, at the Calabasas Pickleball Club, 5155 Old Scandia Lane. Sponsored by Poppy Bank, the event aims to bring the community together for a day of fun, friendly competition, and fundraising.
Tournament Schedule and Activities
The event will kick off with an optional one-hour clinic led by professional instructors from 5 to 6 p.m. for $50. The main tournament will follow from 6 to 8 p.m., featuring teams competing for the prestigious Cal Cup Trophy.
Additional prizes will be awarded in various categories, including the Most-Spirited Team award, recognizing players who bring the most enthusiasm to the game.
A mini-silent auction and a 50/50 raffle will also take place, giving attendees a chance to win prizes while contributing to a good cause. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony to honor winners and participants.
Fundraising for Student Scholarships
All proceeds from the tournament will support local student scholarships, reinforcing the Chamber’s commitment to investing in education within the Calabasas community.
Registration is now open, with team entry fees set at $425 for six-player teams. Individual players can register for $75, while non-players can attend for $50, which includes food.
