A Premier Venue for Pickleball’s Biggest Stage
USA Pickleball Chief Executive Officer Mike Nealy expressed excitement about hosting the nation’s top pickleball event in San Diego.
“As the pinnacle tournament in our sport, the 2025 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships in San Diego will feature elite-level competition,” Nealy said. “The Barnes Tennis Center will provide an exceptional backdrop, offering a dynamic atmosphere for both participants and spectators alike.”
The Barnes Tennis Center, located just five miles from San Diego International Airport and less than 15 minutes from downtown, offers 19 dedicated pickleball courts, ensuring top-tier facilities for the championship.
Economic and Community Impact
The 17th edition of the USA Pickleball National Championships will continue to bring significant economic benefits to the host city. Last year’s tournament in Mesa, Arizona, generated an estimated $3.6 million in economic impact.
Mark Neville, Chief Executive Officer of Sports San Diego, highlighted the city’s enthusiasm for welcoming the event.
