Discover Grand Rapids’ New Pickleball Haven: Unlimited Play, No Reservations Needed!

Grand Rapids’ New Pickleball Haven: Ace Pickleball Club has opened a new indoor facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The franchise’s first state location launched Monday on 28th Street near Woodland Mall. Members get access to 13 professional courts, gear programs, and training, to offer open, welcoming play for all ages.

New Facility Offers Full-Time Open Play

The Grand Rapids site is part of a national chain and features 13 pro-grade cushion courts. Members pay $99 per month for unlimited open play, clinics, paddle demos, a ball machine, and tournaments.

“At a lot of places, you have to reserve a court, or you can only reserve during certain times, or you have to pay extra, right? We don’t nickel and dime you. It’s open play for our members at all times” said Kayla Goins, Vice President of Management at SOLU Enterprises, the franchisee. Goins described the facility’s approach as focused and welcoming.

“We are all about pickleball. We don’t have a bar, we don’t have a restaurant, we don’t have golf simulators or some of these other things that other locations do. Great for them, but it’s not what we do here.” – (Goins)

Designed for All Skill Levels

The club is open to players of all levels. Courts are divided by skill, and staff are ready to pair beginners with players or join them themselves.

“There is a place for everybody.” – (Goins)

Advanced players can join a national tournament series held at club sites across the country. Goins shared that last year’s prize pool topped $250,000.

Some courts include cameras, which allow members to replay footage through an app. This helps with reviewing plays or improving technique.

Launch Promotion Ends Soon

To mark the launch, the Grand Rapids club is offering a first-month-free promotion. The deal ends Tuesday, April 7. For non-members, a full day of play costs $30.

A Boost for Local Pickleball Scene

The opening of Ace Pickleball Club brings more access to indoor play in West Michigan. With year-round access and player support, the new facility could help grow interest in the sport across all ages and skill levels. The national tournament and video tools may also attract competitive players.
