Wisconsin Paddle Battle Pickleball Tournament: Wisconsin Youth Company will host a pickleball event called the Wisconsin Paddle Battle on May 17-18. It will be held at Phoebe Bakken Memorial Park. The event aims to raise money and awareness for out-of-school time programs that help children and families.
The Wisconsin Paddle Battle invites pickleball players of all skill levels. It will be a friendly competition and fundraiser for local programs in Dane and Waukesha Counties. Registration is now open, and businesses can sponsor the event.
A New Community Tradition
This event is the organization’s new signature fundraiser. Last year, Wisconsin Youth Company celebrated its 50th year with a large gala. This time, they wanted a fun, active event to bring people together.
Regan Kregness, development director for Wisconsin Youth Company, said, “We are thrilled to introduce the Wisconsin Paddle Battle as our signature fundraising event this year. After celebrating our 50th anniversary with a lively gala last year, we wanted to return to an event that brings our community together in an active, engaging way — just like our programs do for kids.”
Supporting Local Families
Proceeds from this event will support Wisconsin Youth Company programs. These programs give children safe places to learn, play, and grow after school and during breaks.
Kregness added, “Pickleball is a fantastic sport for a variety of ages and skill levels. We can’t wait to see existing supporters and new faces rally together to support local children and families while having fun on the courts.”
Looking Ahead
The Wisconsin Paddle Battle is expected to attract players and families from across the area. The event will help raise money and awareness for the group’s important programs.
If successful, the Wisconsin Paddle Battle could become a yearly tradition, bringing even more support and attention to the needs of children and families in the community.
