Pickleball Spring Slam: The 2025 Fraternal Order of Police Spring Slam Pickleball Tournament will return to Jackson Park in Vienna this weekend. The tournament will feature Women’s Doubles on Saturday morning, followed by Men’s Doubles in the afternoon. On Sunday, the tournament will conclude with Mixed Doubles starting at 9 a.m.
Tournament Details
All matches will be played to 11 points, with a win by 2. The event follows a round-robin format, where players face off against all other competitors in their group or subgroup. The top four teams from each group will advance to the playoff bracket. Medals will be awarded based on the total wins and points each team accumulates.
Age brackets will be determined after registration closes, and players will self-rate for skill level. They cannot play lower than their Pickleball Brackets Tournament Player Rating (PBR) and may only play up one skill level. The tournament ball will be the Powered by Selkirk Pro S1.
Venue and Atmosphere
Jackson Park, an outdoor venue with eight courts, will host the tournament. Food trucks will be available on-site for participants and spectators to enjoy. The tournament director may combine brackets if needed to ensure competitive play, but individual medals will still be awarded based on the registered events.
Supporting Youth Programs
All proceeds from the event will benefit youth programs in Vienna and Parkersburg. The event not only provides exciting pickleball competition but also helps raise funds for a good cause in the local community.
Tournament officials encourage players and spectators to come out and show their support. As tournament director Tim Offutt and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #79 President Ryan Black highlight, the event is an important opportunity for the community to unite through sport and contribute to youth development.
