Programs Support Growing Interest
To match interest, the town offers more than just courts. There are official leagues, drop-in sessions, and tournaments for all skill levels. Instructional clinics also help players get better at the game.
“The town continues to support this with staffing certified pickleball instructors and pickleball evaluators to provide a fun, professional environment for learning. I am excited to see what the future holds. There are so many ideas in the works to make this pickleball program one of the best in the state.” – (Rivera)
Court Hours Adjusted After Feedback
As pickleball has become more popular, the town has also had to respond to concerns. The council changed the court hours at Butterfield Crossing Park. They are now open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. This change aims to balance the needs of players and nearby residents.
New Facility on the Horizon
Castle Rock is also looking to build a large new sports facility. Plans include a gym that could fit up to 12 pickleball courts. Other features may include an 11-lane pool, an indoor track, and fitness areas. This center would support not only pickleball, but many other sports and wellness programs for the community.
