New Braunfels to Add Exciting Pickleball Courts by Mid-2025

New Braunfels to Add Exciting Pickleball Courts: Nestled in the heart of New Braunfels, Veramendi is not just expanding; it’s evolving into a showcase of modern living. Spanning nearly 2,500 acres, this master-planned community is striking a balance between vibrant city convenience and serene suburban tranquility, promising a unique living experience for its residents.

A New Hub of Recreation and Relaxation

At the core of Veramendi’s expansion is an ambitious plan to enhance its recreational offerings. The community is set to unveil a new resident amenity center by mid-2025, featuring a range of activities designed to cater to diverse interests. Among the highlights will be dedicated pickleball courts—an exciting addition for sports enthusiasts looking to find pickleball courts within their own neighborhood. The center will also boast a sports court, a resort-style pool, and an indoor lifestyle space, all connected to the burgeoning regional park.

“It’s going to have a great connection to our first regional park, which we’re also in design on now,” said Garrett Mechler, Vice President of Operations. “This will be a large 50-plus-acre park that will be kind of the centerpiece of our park system and will be connected with trails into the commercial space. We’re really excited to move through that design right now.”

Embracing Convenience with a Touch of Luxury

Veramendi is not just about parks and recreational amenities; it’s about creating a comprehensive lifestyle experience. The planned commercial district will offer a plethora of retail, entertainment venues, dining options, medical services, and office spaces. This thoughtful design ensures that residents have easy access to everyday necessities and luxuries without leaving the community. Moreover, Veramendi’s proximity to major cities like San Antonio and Austin adds an extra layer of convenience for those seeking urban amenities.

Education and Growth: A Community That Cares

Education is a key focus for Veramendi, which is set to welcome a new New Braunfels ISD elementary school by August 2025. This addition will complement the existing Veramendi Elementary School, further solidifying the community’s commitment to providing top-notch educational facilities for its young residents.

Expanding Horizons: New Phases and Custom Homes

Looking to the future, Veramendi is gearing up for two new phases of development. One phase will feature a 550-lot section with options for custom homebuilders, while another will introduce Del Webb’s 55+ active adult community, offering 700 lots and projected to open in early 2025. This expansion reflects the community’s commitment to catering to a diverse range of residents, from growing families to active adults.

“The land is pretty special,” Mechler notes. “We have a lot of topography, and we have a lot of industries. I think part of what makes the area really special is the adjacency to downtown New Braunfels, Schlitterbahn, and River Road. It’s a pretty special area in general. On the other hand, if you wanted to stay within Veramendi for anything that you want, you could.”

Veramendi’s blend of convenience, modern amenities, and community spirit is setting a new standard for master-planned living in New Braunfels. With its forward-thinking developments and emphasis on quality of life, it’s clear that this community is well on its way to becoming a landmark in the region.
