How Moorlow Pickleball Apparel Is Turning Heads in DC’s Sport and Fashion Scene

Moorlow Pickleball Apparel: Moorlow, a new athleisure brand launched by three Washington, D.C., women, has quickly made a splash in the growing world of pickleball. The brand held its official launch party last month in Chevy Chase, featuring live pickleball action, custom cocktails, and a pop-up showroom, signaling its strong entry into the market.

Launch Party Blends Fashion, Sport, and Community

At the stylish event, guests mingled over drinks garnished with custom “m” stirrers and browsed racks of colorful sportswear in shades of blue, white, and yellow. A live professional pickleball match added excitement, showcasing the sport that inspired the brand.

Moorlow was founded by three local figures: former Fox5 anchor Holly Morris Espy, casting director Sondra Hoffman, and brain-health advocate Brooks Kenny. Together, they aimed to blend sport, fashion, and purpose into a single brand.

Style with a Purpose

Moorlow’s collection features a range of sporty, stylish apparel designed for pickleball players and fans. Items include shorts and skorts, tops, dresses, and hats. The pieces combine comfort and performance with a clean, modern look.

Beyond fashion, the brand is rooted in giving back. Moorlow donates $2 from every purchase to Alzheimer’s-related nonprofits such as Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity and the BrightFocus Foundation. The founders say the cause aligns with the brand’s values: “movement and social connection—core aspects of pickleball—are vital for brain health.”

Influencers and Local Brands Boost Pickleball Fashion

Since its launch, Moorlow has received praise and promotion from both DC-based influencers and national figures, including Alyssa Farah Griffin from The View. The attention highlights the rising popularity of both the sport and fashionable gear designed to support it.

Moorlow joins other local efforts to grow pickleball culture through stylish products. Last summer, Annapolis-based Made+ introduced its first pickleball sneaker, while Rockville’s Joola continues to be a leading name in paddles since entering the market in 2019.

A Fresh Player in a Growing Market

With its bold colors, premium pricing, and commitment to brain health, Moorlow has positioned itself as more than just an apparel company—it’s a lifestyle brand tied to purpose. As pickleball’s popularity continues to surge, brands like Moorlow are expected to play a major role in shaping the sport’s identity and community connections.
