World Pickleball Tour Pittsburgh 2025: The World Pickleball Tour will host the Pittsburgh Picklefest from July 25 to July 27, 2025, at The Pickleball Warehouse, located at 6815 Hamilton Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The tournament welcomes amateur players of all ages and skill levels and promises a weekend of competitive play, prizes, and community spirit.

What Players Can Expect

This tournament will take place at The Pickleball Warehouse, which features 19 dedicated courts. Registration costs $80 and closes on July 20, 2025, at 11:55 p.m. EST. The event is open to amateurs only and includes skill levels from 3.0 to 5.0, with age groups from 19+ to 60+, and potentially 70+ if needed after registration closes.

The tournament will follow a round-robin format with bracket play and guarantees six matches per event. All games will be played to 11 points, win by two.

Daily Event Schedule

  • Friday, July 25: Men’s Singles and Women’s Doubles

  • Saturday, July 26: Men’s Doubles and Women’s Singles

  • Sunday, July 27: Mixed Doubles

After registration closes, players may be able to add a second event on the same day if match times do not overlap.

Perks and Prizes

All players will receive a WPT Dri-Fit T-shirt, access to free professional photography, and automatic DUPR score updates. Sponsored raffle prizes will include items like premium paddles and luxury gear bags.

According to the event team, “We exist to grow the game at the grassroots level, and aim to provide high-quality, valuable, and memorable competitive experiences for you all, the amateur players.”

Path to Championships

Each WPT stop is a “challenger” event. Medalists from these events will qualify for the WPT Amateur Invitational Championships, which offers a $175,000 total cash prize. Gold medalists get 50% off their championship fee, silver medalists get 30%, and bronze medalists receive 20%. Players who didn’t medal can still join the Invitational at full price.

Important Tournament Details

  • Fees: Registration is $70, plus $30 per event.

  • Waitlist Rule: In doubles, the second partner must register within two days. If not, the first player moves to the waitlist.

  • Bracket Limits: Each bracket starts with a 9-player/team cap and can expand to 11 if space allows. Brackets may be combined if needed.

  • Schedule Release: Match times will be posted by July 21, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. PST. Events run in waves (8 a.m., 12 p.m., 4 p.m.).

Refund Policy

Players who cancel will receive credit for a future tournament, minus a $30 processing fee. This policy applies to all cancellations, no matter the reason. By registering, players agree to this policy.
