About the World Pickleball Tour
The World Pickleball Tour is a national amateur series. In 2024, the tour held 25 events. For 2025, it’s planning nearly 35. All medal winners from the local tournaments get discounted entry into the 2025 WPT Amateur Invitational Championships. That championship will offer a $175,000 cash prize pool.
According to the organizers, “We exist to grow the game at the grassroots level, and aim to provide high-quality, valuable, and memorable competitive experiences for you all, the amateur players. We look forward to seeing you at this event!”
The Indianapolis tournament will be hosted at the 20-court 24/7 Dink complex, designed for high-level amateur play.
How the Tournament Works
Players will compete in skill brackets ranging from 3.0 to 5.0 and in age divisions including 19+, 30+, 40+, 50+, and 60+. Players under 18 can enter the 19+ bracket. Once registration closes, the schedule will be posted by July 28, 2025.
Events include:
Friday: Men’s Singles and Women’s Doubles
Saturday: Men’s Doubles and Women’s Singles
Sunday: Mixed Doubles
The tournament runs in three time blocks: 8 AM, 12 PM, and 4 PM. Match times will be announced after registration closes. Players may sign up for two events on the same day if match times don’t overlap.
What Players Get
All players receive:
A WPT DRIFIT T-shirt
Free professional event photos
DUPR scores added automatically
Sponsored giveaways, including luxury bags and paddles
Players who want to try a higher skill level can register for an extra bracket once the schedule is posted. Each player pays a $70 base registration fee and an additional $30 per event.
Waitlist and Refund Info
If one doubles player signs up without their partner registering within two days, they will be placed on the waitlist. Teams will only be moved off the waitlist if space allows after both register.
Brackets have a nine-player/team minimum and can expand to 11 if room permits. Some smaller brackets may be merged for a better competition experience.
Cancellations are allowed, but only credits will be given. A $30 processing fee applies to all refunds. The credit can be used for a future WPT tournament.
