Baldwin Brothers Set for Star-Studded Pickleball Showdown in Central NY—All for Charity

Baldwin Brothers Celebrity Pickleball Bash: Actors Alec Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin will play against each other in a pickleball match for charity on Friday and Saturday, August 22–23, 2025. The event, called the Byrne and Baldwin Brothers Celebrity Pickleball Bash, will take place at 1957 Pine Grove Road on Lake Skaneateles in Central New York. This event will raise money for The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, a group named after their late mother.

The charity fundraiser is being organized in partnership with Byrne Dairy & Deli. The money raised will help fund cancer research across New York state. The event includes celebrity matches, pro exhibition games, food, drinks, gift bags, and a dinner on Saturday night for registered players.

Celebrity Players and Pro Matches

Alec Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin are both well-known actors. Alec Baldwin is known for movies like Beetlejuice, The Departed, and for voicing The Boss Baby. He also starred on Saturday Night Live and received the Syracuse International Film Festival’s Sophia Award in 2023. Stephen Baldwin is known for roles in The Usual Suspects, Bio-Dome, and Celebrity Apprentice. His daughter, Hailey Baldwin, is a model married to singer Justin Bieber.

The pickleball event will also feature matches with professional players. These include Grayson Goldin, a top player and medalist on the Association of Pickleball Players (APP) tour; Kelsey Grambeau, who is ranked in the top 10 for women’s mixed and gender doubles in the APP; Hannah Blatt, who plays for the Brooklyn Pickleball team in Major League Pickleball (MLP); and Juan Benitez from the California Black Bears, also part of MLP.

Tickets and Entry Information

To join as a player, the registration fee is $1,000. This covers all events for the weekend, including the Saturday dinner catered by Carrabba’s Italian Grill. People who want to watch the matches as spectators can buy tickets for $50.

The event will bring together celebrities and pros to raise money and support cancer research. It will also give fans a chance to see famous actors and athletes play the fast-growing sport of pickleball.

Family Ties and Cause

The event honors Carol M. Baldwin, the mother of the Baldwin siblings. She started the research fund in 2001. Carol Baldwin passed away in 2022. Since it began, the organization has raised millions of dollars. Alec Baldwin, Stephen Baldwin, and their brothers Billy Baldwin and Daniel Baldwin have all worked in the film and TV industry. Their sister, Beth Baldwin, still lives in Central New York and serves as executive director of the Baldwin Fund.

Rachel Vinson, the General Manager of the Burlington Pickleball Complex, explained why the change was made.

“We’ve heard from residents who love playing pickleball with friends and family from outside of Burlington,”.

“By opening up memberships to non-residents, we’re not only building a stronger pickleball community, we’re making it easier for everyone to enjoy this incredible facility together.”(Rachel Vinson)

Why This Matters

The celebrity pickleball bash is more than a fun event. It brings attention to a serious cause—cancer research. It also helps support the memory of Carol M. Baldwin and her work. With celebrity involvement, the event is expected to attract more donations and interest from the public. It could also help make pickleball more popular in Central New York and beyond.
