Pickleball Paddle Project Community Outreach: Pickleball co-founders Matt and Aaron have launched The Paddle Project, a nonprofit aimed at providing underserved communities with paddles, instruction, and courts. First Project in New Jersey
The first project is in Paterson, New Jersey, in partnership with Oasis, an organization serving women and children in need. The Paddle Project will supply paddles, teach coaching skills, and help build or improve courts so that people in the community can learn and enjoy pickleball safely.

Global Outreach Efforts
Alongside local efforts, The Paddle Project is sending paddles and nets to organizations in other countries. The program includes instructional materials and advising calls, helping local leaders teach pickleball confidently. Paddles for these projects are provided by the nonprofit’s three Founding Paddle Partners: JOOLA USA, Franklin Sports, and EngagePickleball.
How to Get Involved
Matt and Aaron invite the public to join the initiative in three ways: donate money to provide paddles, coaches, and courts; send in or drop off gently used paddles; and spread the word so more people can support the movement. The co-founders say, “Pickleball has changed our lives — and now, together, we can help it change the world.”
Impact and Future Goals
The Paddle Project aims to use pickleball as a tool for community building, teaching teamwork, and creating opportunities for people who might not otherwise have access to the sport.
