“The Southern Vermont Board of Realtors participates in many charity and volunteer events throughout the year,” Murano noted. “Our main sponsored event has been a golf tournament historically, but this year, we opted to switch it up with pickleball to engage some new participants and stir up some new interest.” Feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing eagerness for the tournament’s return next year. Planning for the next event is already in progress.
Murano expressed gratitude for the support received, saying, “We are so thankful for our sponsors, many of whom are local small businesses.” She highlighted that these contributions enabled the board to donate every dollar of entry fees and donations directly to the United Way of Windham County. “I would encourage everyone who can to utilize these businesses that give back locally time and time again to our communities,” she added.
