New Pickleball Timings at Vestavia Hills: As the volleyball season commences, the Vestavia Hills Civic Center has adjusted its pickleball schedule. Starting Monday, August 19, pickleball hours will be limited to Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. The previously available Tuesday night and Saturday morning sessions at the Civic Center will no longer be offered.
Players still interested in the sport can visit Wald Park, where pickleball courts are accessible on a first-come, first-served basis. Wald Park offers pickleball memberships for a bi-annual fee of $50. Members can reserve courts (excluding courts 1 and 2) for up to 90 minutes per day, with a limit of two reservations per week.
