Bluefield Pickleball Tournament Rescheduled Amid Rain Forecast

Bluefield Pickleball Tournament Rescheduled: The pickleball tournament set to begin on Saturday morning at Bluefield City Park has been rescheduled. This decision comes in response to unfavorable weather forecasts predicting rain for the day.

Originally slated for August 31, the WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital and Sons of Italy Pickleball Tournament will now take place on Saturday, September 7. The start time of 9 a.m. will remain unchanged, according to hospital officials who announced on Thursday.

Fundraising Efforts

The rescheduled tournament serves as a key fundraising event for two causes: the United Way of Southern West Virginia and the Dancing with the Stars Team Karen and Martin. The event, which combines competitive play with charitable goals, is expected to attract pickleball enthusiasts and supporters of the causes.
