Pickleball Fundraiser in Carbondale Aims High for Youth Organizations

Pickleball Fundraiser in Carbondale: The Rotary Club of Carbondale is set to host its third annual Pickleball in the Park Social and Fundraiser on Saturday, October 19, 2024. The event will take place at Longfellow Park, located on 20th Street in Murphysboro. Registration for the event opens at 8:30 a.m., with play commencing at 9:00 a.m.

Purpose and Impact

The funds generated from this event will go towards supporting student scholarships and grants for local youth organizations. Previous beneficiaries have included programs such as I Can Read, the Diaper Bank of Southern Illinois, the Boys’ and Girls’ Club, Give Kids a Smile, among others. Last year’s event successfully raised over $3,500, and this year’s goal is set at $5,000.

Sponsorship Opportunities

The Rotary Club is seeking sponsorships to help achieve this year’s fundraising target. There are three levels of sponsorship available:

  • $1,000 Sponsorship: Includes recognition in all advertising efforts, including event signage, the club website, social media, radio, and news ads, as well as mentions in the president’s event remarks.
  • $500 Sponsorship: Includes recognition in all print advertising, social media, and mentions in the president’s remarks.
  • $100 Sponsorship: Includes recognition at the event and mentions in the president’s remarks.
