Aloha Pickleball Games and Festival Debuts at Hawaii: The highly anticipated Aloha Pickleball Games & Festival will make its debut this fall at the Hawaii Convention Center, welcoming players of all skill levels and ages from Nov. 1 to 3. Organized by Pop Up Pickleball, a division of the Pickleball Management Group, the event promises an exciting mix of competitive play, family activities, and special events that celebrate the fast-growing sport of pickleball. With new courts and a packed schedule, the inaugural event is shaping up to be a standout experience for athletes and spectators.

A Tournament and Festival for Everyone

Set to be played across 15 of the Hawaii Convention Center’s 45 new pickleball courts, the Aloha Pickleball Games & Festival aims to combine intense competition with family-friendly fun. Event organizer Scott Winters emphasized that the tournament has been designed to maximize playtime for participants while also offering engaging activities for families.

In addition to the tournament, players and visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including a demo court for hands-on experience, raffle prizes, and family-oriented events throughout the weekend. The festival will also host the Pop Up Pickleball Vendor Village, where attendees can browse products, meet sponsors, and explore what pickleball has to offer.

New Pickleball Courts and Expanded Sports Program at the Hawaii Convention Center

The Hawaii Convention Center is making a strong entrance into the world of pickleball with its new, premium pickleball courts. With a focus on becoming a premier destination for sports enthusiasts worldwide, the center’s recent investment includes 45 pickleball courts, part of an expanded program that also features volleyball, basketball, badminton, and futsal courts.

“The Hawaii Convention Center has invested in new pickleball courts, emphasizing its goal of becoming a premier destination for pickleball enthusiasts worldwide. We are honored to host the first tournament to utilize these new courts.” – (winters)

According to Teri Orton, general manager of the Hawaii Convention Center, the new courts are designed to mimic championship outdoor pickleball courts, providing players with an authentic playing experience in a state-of-the-art facility.

Aloha Pickleball Games And Festival Set to Debut

“We are excited to expand the Hawaii Convention Center’s highly successful sports courts program this year to include pickleball — a sport that has grown 60 percent in the past five years. Our new premium pickleball rollout mat courts play just like championship outdoor pickleball courts, and we look forward to hosting our first players during the Aloha Pickleball Games.” – (orton)

This tournament is the first to utilize the brand-new courts, solidifying the Hawaii Convention Center’s commitment to catering to the growing pickleball community.

Tournament Structure and Registration Details

The Aloha Pickleball Games & Festival will follow USA Pickleball tournament rules and feature a round-robin format to ensure every player gets ample court time. Each player is guaranteed participation in multiple matches, with the top four players in each division advancing to the finals. The top three winners in each category will receive awards commemorating the inaugural tournament.

Registration is open until Oct. 23, with entry fees set at $80 per person for the first event and $25 per person for the second event. Discounts are available for first-time beginners, junior players, and military/veteran participants, making the event accessible to a wide range of competitors.

In addition to their tournament matches, each registered player will receive a gift bag that includes souvenirs, sponsor gifts, and hospitality tickets. Spectators and family members are encouraged to attend, with plenty of activities to keep them engaged throughout the weekend.
