Pickleball Action to Heat Up in Cassville at the Fall Smash Classic

Pickleball Action to Heat Up in Cassville: The excitement is building in Cassville, Missouri, as the second annual Fall Smash Pickleball Tournament prepares to hit the courts on October 19, 2024. This highly anticipated event not only promises a day of thrilling matches on the newly renovated courts at Cassville City Park but also supports the Cassville High School Senior Beta Club.

Tournament Details

Beginning at 8 a.m., players will have the opportunity to compete on 12 newly renovated courts at Cassville City Park. The pickleball tournament welcomes all skill levels across three categories: Mixed Doubles, Men’s Doubles, and Women’s Doubles, each featuring two skill levels.

For brackets or pools with seven teams or fewer, each game will be played to 15 points, win by 2. In cases where brackets contain eight teams or more, pools will be established. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the medal bracket, where the first-place team from one pool will face the second-place team from another pool, competing for medals and glory.

Match Format and Scoring

The Tournament Director retains the authority to adjust brackets and match lengths to ensure a smooth flow of play. Awards will be determined based on the original division, even if brackets are combined for playability.

Finishing order will be assessed by total matches won, head-to-head results, and total point differential, with medals awarded to the top three teams.

Sponsorship and Prizes

This year’s tournament features a Selkirk Tournament Sponsorship Package, which includes an impressive array of prizes for participants. Highlights of the package are:

  1. 100 Selkirk Pro S1 Pickleballs for tournament play
  2. 100 pickleball server wristbands for all participants
  3. Five $20 Selkirk Gift Cards for raffle prizes
  4. Two Selkirk backpacks valued at $80 each
  5. Four Core Performance Hats for raffle prizes
  6. A LUXX Paddle valued at $250 for a raffle prize

In addition to the competitive atmosphere, water and snacks will be provided to keep participants energized throughout the day.

Refund and Weather Policies

Participants should be aware of the refund policy, which allows for refunds minus a $10 processing fee for withdrawals up until the final day of registration. Unfortunately, no refunds will be processed for withdrawals once registration closes, but all refunds will be issued after the tournament concludes.

In the event of rain on tournament day, a 2+ hour delay may occur to allow staff time to dry the courts for safe play. Participants are encouraged to plan accordingly and may text the Tournament Director at 573-263-5986 for any questions or concerns.
