Carolina Pickleball Club’s Moneyball Tournament: The Carolina Pickleball Club is set to host its inaugural Moneyball event on October 19, 2024, at its pickleball facility located at 2022 Clement Blvd NW, Hickory, North Carolina, 28601. This exciting pickleball competition, boasting a prize pool of $5,000+, is open to members and non-members, promising a thrilling day of pickleball action.
Tournament Format
The event kicks off with a qualifier beginning at 8 AM on Saturday, specifically for teams where neither player has a DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) of 5.0. Later that day, the Main Draw will commence at 3 PM, featuring a total of 16 teams.
This includes the first 12 teams to register with at least one player holding a DUPR of 5.0, along with 4 teams that advance from the morning’s qualifier. Teams can be comprised of two males, two females, or one of each, making it a Co-Ed bracket.
Registration Requirements
It is crucial for teams to register with a partner within 5 days; otherwise, they will be placed on a waitlist. Partner replacements after registration closes will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, if the tournament does not reach capacity, the prize pool may be adjusted accordingly.
Refund Policy
Participants should note that the cancellation deadline is set for October 11. Refunds, minus a $10 withdrawal fee per individual, will only be available prior to this deadline. After October 11, no refunds will be issued for any reason.
Venue Information
The Carolina Pickleball Club features 10 indoor air-conditioned courts with a hardcourt surface. Pickleball players will compete using Vulcan Pro Flight balls, and parking is available at no cost, making this venue an ideal location for an exciting day of pickleball.
