Mason’s Light House Pickleball Tournament to Aid Families Through First Event

Mason’s Light House Pickleball Tournament: Mason’s Light House is excited to announce pickleball tournament scheduled for November 10th! This fun event will give participants the opportunity to play pickleball match while supporting a vital cause—helping families with children who have serious medical needs. Everyone is invited to join in, enjoy the game, and contribute to providing much-needed care for kids and their families.

A Cause Worth Supporting

The money raised from this tournament will help build a much-needed home for kids with serious medical needs. Founder Shanna Sieck said this place is important because it will support these kids and their families as they face tough health challenges. It will also provide care for families during difficult times and help them deal with grief.

A Personal Journey

Sieck’s passion for this cause is deeply personal. After needing to travel for care for their own child, she and her husband recognized the critical need for such facilities.

“We were told about Crescent Cove in Minneapolis, and we ended up taking our child there. So like a five-hour drive from home, and on our way home, my husband looked at me and he’s like, every state needs one of these homes.”-(Sieck)

Looking Ahead

With hopes to open the home in Iowa City within the next two years, Sieck sees the pickleball tournament as an opportunity.

“Along with raising funds, the tournament will be a great opportunity to spread the word about our cause.”-(Sieck)
