Indy Deaf Pickleball is set to host the highly anticipated Zombie Paddle Battle on October 19, 2024. This inclusive pickleball event welcomes players of all backgrounds—whether players are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, CODA, or a hearing ASL user, they will find a place on the pickleball courts. Held at the West Indiana Racquet Club in Indianapolis, this pickleball tournament promises a memorable day of competitive play in a festive environment.

A Tournament for Every Player

The Zombie Paddle Battle offers a unique blend of competition and community, catering to players across a range of skill levels. With divisions for Women/Non-Binary (3.0 / 3.5) and Men/Non-Binary (3.5 / 4.0), participants are guaranteed to face off against similarly skilled opponents in a welcoming environment.

Round Robin Format with a Playoff Twist

The pickleball tournament format features a Round Robin setup followed by a Single Elimination Playoff. All round robin and pre-medal matches will be played to 11 points, win by 1, while the gold/silver matches require winning by 2 points. This format ensures every team gets plenty of court time, making it a fair yet competitive experience for all participants.

Tiebreakers in the round robin stage will be handled through head-to-head results, point differentials, and DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) rankings, ensuring that only the most skilled teams advance.
