Ace Pickleball Club Expands to Illinois: New Facilities Coming Soon

Ace Pickleball Club Expands to Illinois: The excitement around pickleball continues to grow, and now, enthusiasts in Illinois will have more opportunities to enjoy the game. Ace Pickleball Club, a national franchise founded in 2022, is set to expand into the state with new facilities in Des Plaines and Vernon Hills. These additions come as part of a broader trend to meet the increasing demand for pickleball courts across the country, reflecting the sport’s popularity and accessibility for players of all ages and skill levels.

Expansion of Ace Pickleball Club

Ace Pickleball Club is preparing to open its doors in Illinois with two impressive facilities. The Des Plaines location, situated at 727 W. Golf Road, is scheduled to launch on November 20. This facility will span 39,000 square feet and is expected to create jobs for about 15 to 17 employees, including a general manager and a membership specialist.

In addition to the Des Plaines site, a second location in Vernon Hills is on the horizon. This facility will be even larger, boasting 46,000 square feet at 5555 E. Townline Road, with plans for an opening in December or January. Both locations are owned by franchisee James Baraglia, who is committed to building a vibrant pickleball community in the region. With the arrival of Ace Pickleball Club, local players will have access to high-quality facilities that promote social engagement and active lifestyles.

Demand for Pickleball Facilities in Illinois

The expansion of Ace Pickleball Club comes at a crucial time for the sport in Illinois. According to a 2023 report by pickleball platform Pickleheads and the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, an estimated investment of $32 million will be needed to construct new pickleball facilities across the state by 2031. The report highlights that a staggering 909 new courts will be required within the next five to seven years to meet growing demand.

Currently, Illinois ranks 38th in the nation in terms of pickleball court availability, with only 0.80 courts per 10,000 people. This figure is 34% below the national average, signaling a significant gap that needs to be addressed. The influx of new facilities, including the Ace Pickleball Club locations, will play a vital role in improving access to the sport and ensuring that players of all ages can participate and enjoy pickleball.
