Grand Milan Pickleball Tournament Sparks Major Court Upgrades

Grand Milan Pickleball Tournament: A weekend of intense pickleball action wrapped up as players from across the U.S. gathered in Milan, Tennessee, for the Cooper-Stover Wealth Management Pickleball Tournament.

A Weekend of Competition

Hosted by the Milan Pickleball Club, the three-day event began on Friday and end on Sunday. Players from surrounding counties and 11 different states descended on the small town, bringing with them a competitive spirit that made for an exciting atmosphere.

Round Robin Format and Events

The tournament followed a round-robin format, featuring singles, doubles, and mixed doubles matches. With a $55 registration fee, players not only had the chance to compete but also enjoyed lunch as part of the package. The event had a sense of camaraderie both on and off the court, with players supporting one another through close matches.

Fundraising for Milan’s Pickleball Future

The money raised from the event will go toward improving Milan’s nine pickleball courts, continuing to enhance the experience for local players and visitors alike. According to tournament organizers, this is an ongoing effort to make Milan a prime location for pickleball enthusiasts.

We have 184 players this year from 11 states, and there’s only one reason they come here, because it’s a fantastic event. We feed them both days, we have lots of door prizes, raffles, and it’s just a fun event,” said Pat Brew, Tournament Director, alongside John Cooper, the Premier Sponsor.

Ameriprise Financial: Key Sponsor

The event was presented by Ameriprise Financial, with support from local sponsors who helped bring the tournament to life.
