Ludlow’s Pickleball Tournament, Over 50 Players Rally for Pickleball with a Huge Purpose

Ludlow’s Pickleball Tournament: On Sunday, the Ludlow Country Club hosted a pickleball tournament aimed at raising funds for Shriners Hospital, a facility dedicated to assisting children with cleft palates. This pickleball event attracted over 50 participants, featuring eight competitive teams who played throughout the day with a shared mission: to support families in need, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Community Support and Personal Impact

Tanya Vital-Vasile, a passionate advocate and mother of a child who has benefited from Shriners’ services, shared her heartfelt connection to the cause.

“Shriners has helped many kids, and I can only talk out of my experience, but they have helped coordinate all the surgeries, doctors appointments, therapy, everything for my son since he was born and he is five now. He had his first surgery before he was one, so it’s been amazing and they haven’t taken a penny from us, so it’s all based off donations which is why we are really pushing this.” – (Tanya Vital-Vasile)

The pickleball tournament was not just about competition; it was a celebration of community spirit and generosity. With each game played, participants felt the impact of their efforts in supporting a vital cause.

The event showed the importance of local initiatives and the difference they can make in the lives of children and their families.
