Team Battle for the Paddle: The Pickle Jar will hold the “Team Battle for the Paddle” on November 3, 2024. Registrations are now open for anyone interested in joining the exciting game of pickleball.

Team Format and Rules
Each team can comprise any combination of men and women for a registration fee of $55 per person. This pickleball tournament will follow the MLP Rally format, where teams will engage in matches consisting of three games to 21 points (win by 2 or first to 25, win on serve). Notably, each player will compete in one game with every teammate during a team match.

In each match, one team will be designated as the home team while the other is the away team. The away team will provide their lineup first, and the home team will serve first. Teams are limited to a maximum of four per bracket, with a guarantee of at least nine games per team.
Brackets and Playoffs
There will be two brackets based on DUPR ratings: DUPR 15 and DUPR 17. Players without a DUPR rating will be assigned a default rating of 3.75 for DUPR 15 and 4.25 for DUPR 17. The top teams from each bracket will advance to the playoff round, which includes both semi-finals and finals.

Tiebreakers will be determined first by head-to-head outcomes and then by point differential.
Prizes and Additional Information
Exciting prizes await the top-performing teams. The first-place team will receive a Joola Mod TA-15 paddle for each player, valued at over $1,000. Meanwhile, the second-place team will each receive a Joola Tour Elite Bag, valued at over $400.

To participate, players must create a free drop-in account on Court Reserve with The Pickle Jar and sign the liability waiver on or before the event day. It’s important to note that there will be no refunds once a team is registered, but teams may find a substitute player as long as they remain within the appropriate DUPR range.
