Hudson Valley Pickleball Center on Track for Opening in Poughkeepsie

Hudson Valley Pickleball Center: Excitement is building as the Hudson Valley Pickleball and Golf Center takes shape in Poughkeepsie, New York. The former Christmas Tree Shop at South Hills Plaza is being transformed into a top destination for pickleball and golf fans.

New Beginnings in Poughkeepsie

During the summer of 2023, the news broke that Christmas Tree Shops across the country would be closing their doors, including the location in South Hills Plaza. However, it didn’t take long for a new venture to emerge. In October 2023, Hudson Valley Pickleball and Golf Center announced plans to take over the vacant space, with an expected opening in winter 2024.

Brian Vigorita, Glen Beram, and Russel Tigges, the driving forces behind this ambitious project, shared their vision for a state-of-the-art facility featuring both indoor pickleball courts and advanced golf simulators.

A Commitment to Player Well-Being

Vigorita emphasized that the facility will include ten indoor pickleball courts, equipped with Herculan granulated rubber floors. These specialized surfaces are designed to reduce stress on players’ knees and joints, enhancing the overall experience for athletes.

“Meticulously designed to alleviate knee and joint stress, our flooring offers the perfect blend of traction, comfort, and safety,” Vigorita explained, highlighting the team’s dedication to the well-being of its players.

Meeting the Demand for Courts

One of the prevalent challenges for pickleball enthusiasts is the scarcity of available courts. The Hudson Valley Pickleball and Golf Center aims to alleviate this issue by providing ten indoor courts.

Brian Vigorita added, “Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just a beginner looking to have fun, our top-tier courts provide an ideal surface for every game.” This commitment to inclusivity ensures that players of all skill levels will find a welcoming environment.

The Atmosphere of Fun and Engagement

In addition to the courts, the center plans to incorporate playful elements throughout the facility. Anticipation surrounds the quirky signage that includes references to pickleball terminology, like “The Kitchen.” The excitement is palpable as patrons speculate whether this could be a unique concession stand or something entirely different.

A Vision for the Future

On social media, Hudson Valley Pickleball and Golf Center expressed gratitude to their future customers for their patience during the building process. “Building Hudson Valley Pickleball and Golf has been a massive undertaking, and our vision is unlike anything the region has seen in years,” the team shared.

Opening Soon

While an exact opening date has yet to be confirmed, the Hudson Valley Pickleball and Golf Center hinted at an exciting atmosphere in their recent Instagram post. “We’re creating a vibe that you’re not going to want to miss out on, bringing the outdoor inside. Just in time for the weather to change, our doors will be open for you,” they wrote.

With winter 2024 approaching, the community eagerly awaits the grand unveiling of this innovative facility.
