Tournament Format
The Moneyball Tournament will use a Fixed-Partner round-robin format, meaning players will compete as fixed teams. All matches in the round-robin phase will be played to 11 points, win by 2, with sides switching at 6 points. In case of a tie at the end of the round-robin, head-to-head matchups and points won will be used to determine rankings.
The top two teams from each pool will advance to the playoffs. The first round of playoffs will be a game to 15, win by 2, and the winners will move on to the gold medal match. The losers of this round will play for third place. Medal matches will be best 2 out of 3 games to 11 points, win by 2. Each team will be allowed one timeout per match.
Prize Money and Registration
The first-place team in each division will receive $750, while second place will earn $250. Third-place teams will receive a prize but no cash award. Players must register by February 1, 2025, to participate.
The tournament has a minimum bracket size of 5 teams and a maximum size of 16 teams. If brackets exceed 8 teams, they will be split into pools with separate playoff formats.

This pickeball tournament will be held at the Del Norte Club, located at 3040 Becerra Way, Sacramento, CA. The venue features 8 courts, including 6 permanent and 2 temporary courts, with a surface made of asphalt. All matches will take place outdoors, and the Franklin X-40 ball will be used for the tournament. There is no parking fee at the venue.
