The hometown pair defeated Australian players Emilia Schmidt and Danni-Elle Townsend in three exciting games during Championship Sunday at The Tennis and Pickleball Club at Newport Beach.
Veterans Outlast First-Time Finalists
Jill Braverman and Megan Fudge started strong in the final, winning the first game 11-2. But the Australian duo, Emilia Schmidt and Danni-Elle Townsend, came back in the second game. They quickly took a 4-0 lead and held on for an 11-9 win.
The third game was close, with Schmidt and Townsend leading 6-5 at the mid-game break. However, Braverman and Fudge fought back and secured the final game 11-8 to win the match.
