Exciting Format and Events
This tournament showcases an innovative MLPlay format, where teams of four players—two men and two women—compete in engaging matchups. Teams will play a series of four 21-point games, including women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
If teams are tied after four games, they will enter a Dreambreaker, where one player from each team plays singles, switching every four rallies until someone scores 21 points with a two-point lead.
Scheduled matches will start at 9 a.m. on both days. Saturday will feature DUPR divisions of 14, 16, and 18, while Sunday will include DUPR 16 and 20.
Prizes for Winners
Top three teams in each division will receive medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. A cash prize of up to $500 may be available for each age division, depending on registration. If at least four teams enter a division, prize money could increase with additional registrations.
Registration and Policies
Participants needed to register as teams to secure their spots. The tournament director, Jake Namken, emphasized the importance of securing a DUPR account before registration. Non-rated players can still participate if their estimated ratings are verified.
If a team needs a substitute player, they can edit their registration on the Swish platform. Refund policies are in place for cancellations made at least 15 days before the event.
