St. Louis Shock vs Columbus Sliders: A Clash of Powerhouses
The day’s most anticipated match comes in the final slot on Championship Court as the hometown St. Louis Shock (14-1, 46 points) take on the Columbus Sliders (15-5, 45 points). While the Shock swept the Sliders earlier this year in Columbus, that result came without CJ Klinger in the Sliders’ lineup. Now with a full-strength roster and recent momentum, Columbus will be looking for revenge and a chance to leapfrog the Shock in the standings.
This one could shape playoff positioning and may end up being a preview of a deep postseason matchup.
Brooklyn Looks to Upset Undefeated Dallas
Another must-watch showdown features the Dallas Flash (14-0, 46 points) returning to action for the first time since their Mid-Season Tournament title. They’ll face the Brooklyn Pickleball Team (15-5, 47 points), who are coming off a 3-1 win over Chicago.
Dallas edged Brooklyn 3-1 in Phoenix, but every set was tightly contested, with game scores of 11-9, 12-10, and 12-10. Brooklyn enters with AJ Koller continuing to sub for Dekel Bar, and they’ll need every bit of his firepower to slow down Dallas’ unbeaten march.
Las Vegas and Nashville Set for Another Thriller
The Challenger Division spotlight falls on the final Grandstand match of the day when the Las Vegas Night Owls (13-3, 44 points) face the Nashville Chefs (12-4, 37 points). These two teams met in the Mid-Season Tournament final, where Brooke Buckner sealed a DreamBreaker win for Las Vegas in a 22-20 classic.
Las Vegas is experimenting with new mixed doubles pairings, moving Buckner and Pablo Tellez together while Zoey Wang teams up with James Delgado. Whether that change strengthens or disrupts their chemistry remains to be seen.
For Nashville, this is a chance to avenge one of the most thrilling losses of the season—and perhaps build momentum ahead of the final stretch.
