New Jersey 5s Pickleball Victory: The New Jersey 5s earned a 3-1 win over the Miami Pickleball Club on Saturday at The Picklr MLP Salt Lake City, hosted at The Picklr Kaysville. With powerful performances in doubles play, the 5s sealed the match without needing a DreamBreaker.

New Jersey 5s Take Early Control

The match began with a commanding win in women’s doubles. Anna Leigh Waters and Meghan Dizon outplayed Tamaryn Emmrich and Mya Bui, finishing the game 11-2 to give New Jersey a quick lead.

In men’s doubles, Will Howells and Noe Khlif added another point for the 5s by defeating Jay Devilliers and Yuta Funemizu 11-5. With this, New Jersey went up 2-0 in the match.

Miami Club Fights Back in Mixed Doubles

The Miami Pickleball Club got on the board during the first mixed doubles match. Jay Devilliers and Tamaryn Emmrich teamed up to defeat Noe Khlif and Meghan Dizon 11-3. This win gave Miami a boost and cut New Jersey’s lead to 2-1.

However, New Jersey quickly responded in the second mixed doubles game. Anna Leigh Waters and Will Howells delivered another strong showing, beating Yuta Funemizu and Mya Bui 11-2. This secured the overall match win for the 5s.

DreamBreaker Not Required

Both teams had players ready for a possible DreamBreaker, but it wasn’t needed. New Jersey had already secured three wins out of four, ending the match early. The final DreamBreaker score remained 0-0.
