A Streak of Success

Christian’s run of finals appearances began in December when she won her first PPA singles title in Daytona. Since then, she has captured two gold medals and one silver, proving her consistency at the highest level. She credits her recent success to adjustments in her playing style.

“I’ve been working pretty hard at trying to diversify my game a little bit and not just be someone who rams the net. I’ve been trying to work a lot on my backcourt game, change up the serve a little bit, and just develop more as an all-around player.” – (Christian)

Battling Fatigue and Thriving

Her latest victory is even more impressive considering that just five days ago, Christian was competing in Australia, where she won the women’s singles title at the Proton Australia Pickleball Open. Despite the long travel and quick turnaround, she managed to perform at a high level in Tucson.

“My goal today was honestly just to stay awake. I’ve been taking naps after all my matches, so I’m truly thrilled to be able to pull away with this.” – (Christian)

A Championship Showdown Awaits

Christian now looks ahead to the final, where she will face either Brooke Buckner or Parris Todd. With a second title in as many weeks on the line, she has the opportunity to add another championship to her growing list of accomplishments.
