Strong Start Leads to Victory
The opening game was tightly contested, with Alshon and Daescu jumping to a 5-1 lead before Johnson and Tardio fought back to take an 11-10 advantage.
However, Alshon and Daescu saved game point and won three straight to claim the set. From there, they controlled the match, cruising through the final two games.
The win marks an impressive showing for Alshon and Daescu, who have lost only one match together in two tournaments. That defeat came in the PPA Masters semifinals against Ben Johns and Collin Johns, the eventual champions.
Building Momentum as a Duo
In Tucson, Alshon and Daescu partially avenged their previous loss by defeating Ben Johns and Hayden Patriquin in the semifinals. Their chemistry continues to improve, making them a formidable pairing on the PPA tour.

Alshon will now aim for his second gold of the tournament when he faces Hunter Johnson in the men’s singles final later Sunday afternoon.
