Waters Reflects on the Win

The 18-year-old said the high level of competition made the victory especially rewarding.

“I think we both are very hard on ourselves, which is why I think we’re at the top right now. Having your opponent push you to the limit when you win, it just feels different.

I don’t want to say it feels better because it does feel good to beat somebody easily, but when you’ve battled and left it all out there and then come out with a win, it feels really good.”
