College Tennis and Transition
Parker’s college tennis journey began at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith (UAFS) in 2017. She quickly made her mark, playing in the No. 2 singles slot and on the top doubles team. Her performance earned her the Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year accolade and a place on the All-Heartland Conference second team. Parker’s talents were undeniable, with a top 50 ITA doubles ranking to her name.
However, academic challenges and homesickness led Parker to transfer to the University of Texas-Dallas (UTD), a mere 30 minutes from her hometown. At UTD, Parker thrived both academically and athletically. She earned ITA All-American honors twice, secured the ASC East MVP title, and helped lead her team to the NCAA DIII Tournament semifinals. Her impressive collegiate career included a singles record of 22-3 and a doubles record of 28-6.
The Professional Pickleball Debut
After graduating with a degree in Computer Science, Parker began working as a Systems Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. It was here that she was introduced to pickleball by a co-worker. Initially indifferent, Parker’s interest was piqued after participating in the Texas Open in June 2023, where she triumphed at the 4.0 level.
