Dink MiLP Comes to Midland: This October, pickleball enthusiasts will gather at the Greater Midland Tennis Center for a thrilling team competition. The Dink Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) offers a unique, fast-paced format with its MLPlay structure that challenges players in an engaging and innovative way.

Event Format
MLPlay Format: This dynamic event features teams of 4 players (2 women and 2 men) competing in four 21-point games:
- Women’s Doubles
- Men’s Doubles
- Two Mixed Doubles
- Dreambreaker: If the score is tied 2-2 after the first four games, the teams will engage in a Dreambreaker, where one player from each team plays singles. Players switch every four rallies until one reaches 21 points with a two-point lead.
DUPR Divisions
- DUPR 20: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 20.99
- DUPR 18: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 18.30
- Maximum individual player DUPR 5.10
- DUPR 16: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 16.30
- Maximum individual player DUPR 4.60
- DUPR 14: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 14.30
- Maximum individual player DUPR 4.10
- DUPR 12: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 12.30
- Maximum individual player DUPR 3.60
Once registered, a team’s DUPR ratings are locked, ensuring division placement is secure regardless of changes in individual ratings.
Registration & Requirements
- DUPR Account: All players must have a DUPR account at the time of registration. Players without a rating can still compete, but their estimated rating will be verified by the tournament director.
- Single Registrations: If you are part of a team but registering individually, include the team name and DUPR division (e.g., “Mad Drops – 18”). Players who don’t have a team will be placed on one by the tournament director, and any unplaced players will receive a refund.
- Substitute Players: Teams needing a substitute can make edits through Swish or submit the substitute’s information to the tournament organizer. The substitute player’s DUPR must not cause the team’s total to exceed the division limit.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellation Deadline: Cancellations received by October 4, 2024, will receive a refund minus a $5 technology fee and a 3% processing fee. No refunds will be issued after this date.
- Individual Registration Refund Policy: Single players not placed on a team will be refunded in full (minus the technology and processing fees) within 3-5 business days after the event ends.
