Dink MiLP Set to Ignite Greer in October: The Dink Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) event at Tryon Park in Greer, South Carolina, is set to bring an innovative and thrilling pickleball experience on October 19, 2024. Event Format

The MLPlay format is designed to enhance the competitive edge and enjoyment of pickleball by creating a balanced and engaging team environment. Teams of four players (two women and two men) will compete in a series of four 21-point games:

• Women’s Doubles
• Men’s Doubles
• Two Mixed Doubles

If the match is tied 2-2, the competition moves to the Dreambreaker™. In this thrilling tiebreaker, one player from each team plays singles against their counterpart, switching every four rallies until one player reaches 21 points with a two-point lead.

DUPR Divisions

The tournament features several DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) divisions to accommodate various skill levels:

• DUPR 20: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 20.99
• DUPR 18: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 18.30
  Maximum individual player DUPR 5.10
• DUPR 16: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 16.30
  Maximum individual player DUPR 4.60
• DUPR 14: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 14.30
  Maximum individual player DUPR 4.10
• DUPR 12: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 12.30
  Maximum individual player DUPR 3.60

Once a team is registered, their DUPR ratings are locked, meaning changes in individual ratings will not impact their division placement.

Registration & Requirements

• DUPR Account: Required for all participants at the time of registration. Players not rated will have their estimated ratings verified by the tournament director.
• Single Registrations: If registering individually but part of a team, indicate the team name and DUPR division. If unable to form a team, the tournament director will assist in team placement, with refunds available for unplaced players.
• Substitute Players: Teams can add substitutes by logging into Swish or by submitting details directly to the tournament organizer. Substitute players’ DUPR must not cause the team’s aggregate to exceed the event’s maximum.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Cancellation Deadline: To receive a refund minus the $5 technology fee and 3% processing fee, cancellations must be made by October 4, 2024. No refunds will be issued after this date.
• Individual Registration Refund Policy: Players registering individually and not placed on a team will receive a full refund minus the $5 technology fee and 3% processing fee 3-5 business days after the event ends.
