Chas Kane McCormick is an American professional baseball outfielder who is currently a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Houston Astros. Born on April 19, 1995, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, McCormick attended Millersville University of Pennsylvania where he starred in college baseball. A 21st-round selection in the 2017 MLB draft, he made his MLB debut with the Astros in 2021, and has since contributed significantly to his team, including being a member of the 2022 World Series champions.

Chas McCormick was born to Robert and Nancy Jo McCormick in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He attended Henderson High School, where he excelled in both baseball and basketball. McCormick was a four-time All-Ches-Mont League selection and made history as the first player in his school to score 1,000 career points in basketball while also recording 100 career hits in baseball. After high school, he continued his education and baseball career at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, where he played for the Millersville Marauders in NCAA Division II. During his college career, McCormick set multiple records, including career hits, runs, runs batted in (RBIs), and triples, and became the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference’s all-time hits leader. He was recognized as an All-American and named the PSAC East Athlete of the Year.
