Devin Cochran was born on July 17, 1998, in Norcross, Georgia. He attended Greater Atlanta Christian School, where he had a notable high school career as a two-year starter at offensive tackle. Cochran was recognized for his talent, earning first-team all-state honors during his senior year. His contributions helped his high school team reach the state championship in 2014 and the semifinals in 2015. Following high school, Cochran committed to play college football for the Vanderbilt Commodores, showcasing his potential as a three-star recruit.

Path to American Football

Cochran redshirted his freshman year at Vanderbilt in 2016, but he quickly made an impact, winning a starting role in 2017 and starting all 10 games that season. In 2018, he continued to excel, starting all 13 games and earning a place on the Southeastern Conference (SEC) honor roll while contributing to the team’s impressive rushing performance. After starting 32 games at Vanderbilt, Cochran entered the NCAA transfer portal following the 2019 season. Cochran spent the entire 2022 season on the practice squad, demonstrating resilience and determination.

In January 2023, Cochran signed a reserve/future contract with the Bengals, but he faced challenges in the following season. He was placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform (PUP) list in July 2023 and later moved to the injured reserve list.
