Franklin Gore Jr. was born on March 13, 2002, in Miami, Florida. He is the son of former NFL player Frank Gore. Growing up in a sports-oriented family, Gore Jr. attended Miami Killian Senior High School, where he showcased his talents as both a quarterback and running back. During his senior year, he compiled impressive statistics, rushing for 1,111 yards and scoring thirteen touchdowns on 113 carries.
Path to American Football
Initially committing to Florida Atlantic University, Franklin Gore Jr. later decided to play for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. As a true freshman, he quickly made a name for himself, leading the team with 708 rushing yards on 121 carries, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. He had three 100-yard games during the season and was recognized as a second-team all-conference player, as well as earning all-freshman honors. His performance continued to improve during his second season, where he compiled 731 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns through the first ten games.
