Jalen Moreno-Cropper grew up in Parlier, California. He initially attended Sanger High School before transferring to Buchanan High School for his senior year. During his high school career, he was rated a four-star recruit and received offers from several Power 5 programs, including Utah, Nebraska, California, and Oregon, ultimately committing to play college football at Fresno State.
