Early Life and Background
Jordan Kunaszyk was born in Sacramento, California, and grew up in nearby Roseville. He attended Roseville High School, where he began playing football. In his first year of varsity football, Kunaszyk recorded 77 tackles, including nine for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. His performance earned him second-team All-Sierra Foothill League honors. As a senior, he was named first-team all-league after achieving 101 tackles, 21 for loss, two sacks, one interception, and a forced fumble. Kunaszyk’s strong high school performance laid the foundation for his future in football. Kunaszyk began his collegiate career at American River College. However, he had to redshirt his true freshman season due to a wrist injury sustained during his first snap of the year. In his second season, he recorded an impressive 118 tackles, the highest among California junior college players, along with three sacks, one forced fumble, and three pass breakups. His achievements earned him first-team All-Big 8 Conference honors, Junior College Freshman All-American recognition, and the CCCAA NorCal Division Defensive Player of the Year award. Jordan Kunaszyk signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent on April 27, 2019. He made his NFL debut on September 12, 2019, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he played 15 snaps on special teams. During his rookie season, Kunaszyk participated in nine games, recording seven tackles. However, he was waived by the Panthers on September 5, 2020.
