Kaitlyn Grace Torpey (born 17 March 2000) is an Australian professional soccer player who last plays as a full-back, wingback, or winger for the Australia national team. Torpey has previously played for San Diego Wave FC and Australian clubs Melbourne City FC, Brisbane Roar FC, and Preston Lions FC.
Early Life and Background
Born and raised in South Brisbane, Queensland, Kaitlyn Torpey attended Cavendish Road State High School throughout her younger years. She started playing soccer at the age of nine, having previously ventured into field hockey. In 2013, Torpey began playing for the U-13’s Olympic FC Girls, where she scored 27 goals in 21 matches during the 2013 season and finished first on the ladder. Torpey then joined the Queensland Academy of Sport, where she played 38 matches and scored 13 goals while competing for the U13s and U14s. In 2016, she was named in the All-Star Team during her third National Training Centre Challenge competition.

Kaitlyn Torpey’s professional journey began at Brisbane Roar, where she played her first professional match on 5 November 2016, in a 2–1 victory over Sydney FC. During her five-year tenure with Brisbane Roar, she primarily played as a right-back and made 43 appearances. In September 2021, Torpey signed with Melbourne City FC, where she quickly made an impact, scoring her first goal on 9 December 2022 in a 5–1 victory over Newcastle Jets. She played every match in her first season with the club, reaching her 50th A-League appearance.
