He made his debut in a Week 12 game against the Seattle Seahawks, stepping in as center after an injury to the starter. This opportunity led to his first career start against the Las Vegas Raiders, making him the fourth starting center for the team that season.

On March 16, 2022, Ismael was tendered as an exclusive rights free agent by the Washington Football Team, which he signed on April 20. However, he was placed on injured reserve during the final roster cuts and was eventually released with an injury settlement.
