His first professional goal came on May 23, 2021, during a match against the Charleston Battery.

After completing his college career, Mitchell returned to the New York Red Bulls on January 14, 2024, signing a three-year contract with the first team. He made his debut for the New York Red Bulls on February 25, 2024, in a match against Nashville SC.
