Early Life and Background

Rob Havenstein was born in Mount Airy, Maryland. He attended Linganore High School in Frederick, Maryland, where he began to develop his skills in football. His talent on the field led him to receive numerous offers from Power 5 colleges. Ultimately, he committed to the University of Wisconsin-Madison on October 21, 2009, where he would further hone his abilities as an offensive lineman.

Path to American Football

At the University of Wisconsin, Rob Havenstein played on the offensive line as a right tackle from 2010 through 2014. During his college career, he participated in 54 games, starting in 42 of them. He was a redshirt freshman in 2010 and played in 12 games in 2011. In 2013, he earned Second-Team All-Big Ten honors, and by the end of the 2014 season, he was recognized as a consensus First-Team All-Big Ten and First-Team All-American.
