Stone Cole Smartt (born October 4, 1998) is an American professional football tight end for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Old Dominion Monarchs. Smartt attended Del Oro High School in Loomis, California, where he excelled in both football and basketball before committing to Northern Arizona University in 2017. Following a brief stint in college, he went undrafted in 2022 and subsequently signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. He joined the New York Jets in 2025 and continues to make an impact in the NFL.
Early Life and Background
Stone Smartt was born in Sacramento, California. He attended Del Oro High School, where he played as a quarterback. During his high school career, he threw for 3,021 yards from scrimmage with 29 touchdowns. Smartt led his team to a Division II-AA State title championship in 2015-16, defeating Camarillo 16-13. The following year, he guided Del Oro to a Division 1-A state championship game against San Clemente. In addition to football, Smartt was also a talented point guard for the Del Oro boys basketball team. In 2017, he committed to Northern Arizona University to play college football.

After his success at Riverside, Smartt transferred to Old Dominion University in 2019, where he transitioned from quarterback to wide receiver in 2021.
