Early Life and Background

Stone Smartt was born in Sacramento, California. He attended Del Oro High School, where he played as a quarterback. During his high school career, he threw for 3,021 yards from scrimmage with 29 touchdowns. Smartt led his team to a Division II-AA State title championship in 2015-16, defeating Camarillo 16-13. The following year, he guided Del Oro to a Division 1-A state championship game against San Clemente. In addition to football, Smartt was also a talented point guard for the Del Oro boys basketball team. In 2017, he committed to Northern Arizona University to play college football.
